About Dr. K. Vamsi Krishna
Dr. K. Vamsi Krishna (MD, DM) is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Medicover Hospital, Venkojipalem, Visakhapatnam, and at his own practice, Vamsi’s Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology, under the Sri Vamsi Superspeciality Clinics banner. With 11+ years of experience, he is well qualified to treat both adult and pediatric endocrine problems, and has treated over 1,00,000 patients with endocrine and metabolic conditions.
He completed his MBBS, MD (General Medicine) and DM (Endocrinology) at Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, where he was awarded the Dr. Hanumantha Rao Gold Medal for being the best outgoing MD student. He served at Seven Hills Hospital, Visakhapatnam for 9 years before joining Medicover Hospital in December 2023.
To keep specialist endocrine care within reach beyond the city, he also holds a weekly evening clinic at Doctors Care every Friday, and an outstation clinic at Anakapalle every Wednesday.
Dr. Vamsi treats the full range of endocrine and metabolic conditions – diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, PCOS, adrenal and pituitary disorders, growth disorders and bone health. He is an active member of the Endocrine Society of India, the Indian Thyroid Society, RSSDI and ESAP, and has served as Co-organising Secretary for ESAP 2019 and ESICON 2024, and as Organising Secretary for APRSSDI 2025.
