Sri Vamsi Superspeciality Clinics was founded by Dr. K. Vamsi Krishna, a consultant endocrinologist and diabetes specialist with 11+ years of experience, to bring qualified, superspeciality endocrine care within reach of patients across Visakhapatnam and its surrounding towns. He is well qualified to treat both adult and pediatric endocrine problems, and has treated over 1,00,000 patients to date.
Dr. Vamsi completed his MBBS, MD in General Medicine and DM in Endocrinology at Andhra Medical College (AMC), Visakhapatnam, where he was awarded the Dr. Hanumantha Rao Gold Medal for being the best outgoing MD student. He served at Seven Hills Hospital, Visakhapatnam for 9 years before joining Medicover Hospital, Venkojipalem, Visakhapatnam as Consultant Endocrinologist in December 2023 - a role he continues alongside running Vamsi's Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology under the Sri Vamsi Superspeciality Clinics banner.
Endocrinology remains a rare superspeciality outside major cities, which often means long journeys for patients who need ongoing care for chronic conditions like diabetes and thyroid disorders. To close that gap, Dr. Vamsi holds a dedicated weekly clinic at Doctors Care every Friday evening, and an outstation clinic at Anakapalle every Wednesday, in addition to his main MVP Colony practice.
He is an active member of the Endocrine Society of India, the Indian Thyroid Society, RSSDI and ESAP, and has taken on conference leadership roles including Co-organising Secretary for ESAP 2019 and ESICON 2024, and Organising Secretary for APRSSDI 2025.
